Wayne Smith

Born and raised in Mount Vernon, NY, I am a professional dancer and choreographer whose passion for movement began as far back as I can remember. My journey started with the Revelators Dance Troupe under the mentorship of the late Marion Archer. She took me under her wing, nurtured my creativity, and helped me find my voice through dance.

From there, I trained at Spirit Dance Center, where I built a strong foundation in ballet. I continued my professional training at two of the most prestigious institutions in the world — the Dance Theatre of Harlem and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.

Choreographing and teaching have become central to who I am. I find immense joy in bringing my vision to life and helping others grow through dance. I now serve as the Creative Director of the Revelators Dance Troupe and proudly lead as head coach and owner of two dance organizations.

Becoming part of the New Beginnings family has been a true blessing. They’ve welcomed me with open arms — it feels like home.
