Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the program.

Program Overview
This 12-week certification course is designed to give teaching artists the tools, strategies, and confidence to step into any classroom or studio. Through weekly sessions, you’ll refine your teaching skills, craft a clear and authentic teaching philosophy, and build lesson plans and curricula rooted in your own movement style and artistic vision.

Course Objectives:
By the end of this program, you’ll:

• Learn practical tools to plan and deliver engaging, adaptable, and effective classes.

• Navigate real-world teaching challenges with confidence and professionalism.

• Build a complete teaching portfolio, including your own pedagogical statement, teaching philosophy, and a professional growth roadmap.

• Develop strong classroom leadership skills, including:

  • Leading with confidence and clarity

  • Ethics of touch and safe physical communication

  • Class management and student engagement

  • Providing constructive feedback

  • Designing lessons for all levels and learning styles

• Create inclusive, accessible, and socially conscious learning environments.

• Strengthen your ability to think critically and creatively about teaching, choreography, and student development.
   

Hands-on teaching practice is a key part of the course, giving you space to apply what you’re learning in real studio/residency settings. You will also have access to unlimited in-house classes!
